USA Softball, the national governing body utilized by NFHS Softball to certify bats, has informed the NFHS that the Suncoast Model SBFPB-10 bat has been placed on the Non-Approved Bat List with Certification Marks. This bat is not compliant for use under NFHS softball rules, effective immediately.

In that we as officials no longer ‘check’ the bats, it is still on us to recognize bats that are recognizable as being on the non-approved list, especially ones that are recently non-approved.

Be sure to visit the USA Softball non-approved bat list page to print out the latest version and keep with you for reference. The aforementioned bat is on the list on page 2 at the top left.
